When this ship debuted with its muted, sophisticated tones and warm, earthy colors, it was a departure from the high-energy, vivid decor of Carnival's earlier vessels. Oriental rugs and richly upholstered chairs in the Curiosity Library make it look like a room in an English manor. Gilded sphinxes and other mythological creatures line the promenade, and brass fittings and marble floors gleam in the Pinnacle Club. Look for the antique slot machines from the 1930s and '40s in the El Dorado Casino, named after the fabled city of gold.
